Founded in 1990, Impact Advertising is a full-service agency that started out handling local businesses, but has become one of the largest regional agencies in the state. Founded by Lycoming College graduate, Matthew Gartner, the business handled such varied industries as car dealerships, law firms, optical shops, modular home companies, and carious other retail entities. In 2005, Impact Advertising merged with another local up-and-coming advertising agency, 33rd Street Plaza Group. Founded by Mansfield University graduate Kenneth DiRocco and another Lycoming College graduate, Russ Twigg, 33rd Street Plaza Group also handled local accounts. Together, the three became partners in the new Impact Advertising, and combining their accounts and expertise, became that much larger and stronger. Over the years, the business has grown – in their client list, experience, geographic coverage, and services. Now, handling accounts from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia, and from Syracuse, N.Y. to Washington DC., it is one of the only businesses in the area capable of doing in-house video production from start to finish, with a full-time dedicated high definition video suite, digital editors, and an in-house studio complete with green screen However, this is not all the business can do. In addition to handling the media negotiations and purchasing for clients, its creative capabilities extend across the spectrum. Newsprint, radio, billboard, websites, e-mail blasts, posters, pamphlets, banners, flyers, and trade show booths. Virtually anything relating to corporate communications and graphic communications both regionally and locally can be handled by this full service agency.
